Who we are

Puddle is made by Leo Apps Studio LLC, trading as Leo Apps Studio ("we", "us"). You can reach us at patrick@leoappsstudio.com or at 823 Congress Ave, Ste 150, PMB 222, Austin, TX 78701, USA.

This policy covers the Puddle app on iPad and iPhone.

The short version

• Puddle is made for children aged 3 to 7, and it collects no personal information from anyone, child or grown-up.
• There are no ads, no analytics, no tracking, no crash reporting and no third-party code in the app.
• There are no accounts, no sign-in, no chat and nothing a child can type into.
• Everything the app remembers stays on your device. We never receive it, and we run no servers that could hold it.

What the app keeps on your device

So that each child finds their own games and stickers, the app stores on the device:

• for each child: a nickname and a picture chosen by a grown-up, and an age band (for example "4 to 5"), never a birth date;
• play progress: which activities were finished, the level each skill is at, the stickers earned and the minutes played each day;
• the last six pictures each child takes in Dress-Up: snapshots of the app's own cartoon characters in their new clothes, drawn by the app (the camera is never used);
• the grown-up settings: the daily limit, sound and music, and which games show on the home screen.

The app does not send this information anywhere. Like all app data, it is included in the backups you make of your own device. Deleting a child in the parent zone deletes their information; deleting the app deletes all of it.

Photos

Puddle never uses the camera or the microphone, and it never looks at your photo library. In the sticker book, a grown-up can save a Dress-Up picture to the device's photo library. The save button opens the grown-ups-only gate first, and then iOS asks your permission. The app asks only to add pictures, never to read them, and you can withdraw that permission at any time in the Settings app.

Purchases

Puddle Plus is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple takes the payment under its own terms and keeps the purchase record; we never see your name, card or Apple ID. The app asks Apple only whether this device's family has Puddle Plus.

Children

Puddle is designed for children and follows Apple's rules for the Kids category and the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Because the app collects no personal information, there is nothing to disclose, sell or share. Everything that could take a child out of the app, such as purchases, links and settings, sits behind a grown-ups-only gate.

What we do not do

• We do not collect, sell or share personal information.
• We do not build profiles of children or of anyone else.
• We do not show advertising of any kind.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you have the right to know what we hold about you and to ask us to delete it. We hold nothing about you or your children: what the app keeps is on your device, under your control, and you can delete it in the parent zone or by deleting the app. If you have a question, write to us at the address below.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever starts handling information differently, we will update this page and change the date at the top before that version of the app is released.

This website

These pages set no cookies and run no analytics or advertising of their own. Like any website, the company that hosts it keeps ordinary server logs (the address a request came from, the page asked for, and when), which we use only to keep the site working.
